Voldemort Killed

How to make money? is the first thing that people these days ask themselves when they get an idea. How to sell it?

Our celebrity author J K Rowling has said that about 14 years ago, she got the Idea of a bespectacled boy being a wizard and all blablabla when she was travelling in a train. She made her first book, Harry Potter and the Philosoper’s stone. About 27 publishers refused to publish it, when one company came forward who is still publishing her books in the UK. The book was for kids, and 10 yrs ago, when I laid my hands on that book, I didnt like it much at the beginning, since the way of writing targetted 10 yr old kids. However, when i finished the book, I was quite impressed. But still, things like You-Know-Who, and “Its about You-know-what in vault You-Know Which”, a wizard bank called Gringotts in Diagon Alley, a place that cant be found in the map of London did sound a bit weird to me.

In 2001, the movie was out, and I managed to get a pirated VCD with horrible print and liked it as well. But when I saw it on the Original DVD (stop piracy) which i bought years later in Chennai, I was flattened by the sound effects n all. That was when I became a fan of Harry Potter. Read the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets book, was nice, with better writing, and the kids having better maturity. The movie was nice too. Prisoner of Azkaban sucked, and I didnt bother to read the book either. I had almost lost interest in Harry Potter.

Thats when the Goblet of Fire came out. Had the book earlier, but hadn’t bothered to read it then, but the movie was cool. Have read the Order of the Phoenix, waiting to watch the movie. Read the Half Blood Prince too, and on Sunday, Monday full day, read teh Deathly Hallows. The Best book in the series, I must say. This book revelas that she really has put in a lot of work right from the beginning.

Begins with stupid stuff, like Dudley really cares for Harry n all. The first thing I wanted to know was why the hell did Snape kill Dumbledore in the Half Blood Prince. Harry being taken out of the Dursleys’ with 5 others made to look like Harry with Poly Juice Potion in 5 directions, Alastor Moody getting Killed, etc etc glued me to my seat (Im a slow reader and it took me about 11 hours non stop to finish the book). These guys hiding away, finding the horcruxes, destroying them, the Ministry being taken over by You Know Who n all, was really really thrilling. Snape is killed by Voldemort, and finally after all the blablabla, Voldemort’s Force Feedback Wand backfires again, and with all his horcruxes destroyed, he dies this time, never to return again.

Dumbldore had asked Snape long back to kill him if the ocassion called for it. One big 2 yr long auspense answered.

Harry Potter marries Ginny Weasley and Ron marries Hermione, and they live happily ever after. End of story, good bye, the end.

Fairy Tales retold. and we have a new trillionare, called J K Rowling.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Thanks to my father, and thanks my my marks in the 10th, I wasn’t sent for Higher Secondary School Education. I was sent to a Polytechnic. For a 3 year course in Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The girls were ultra ugly, and the other boys didnt like me talking to them, so had to stay away from them. Therefore I had nothing else to do but study. Was slightly above average, better than what I was at school, and the lecturers really liked the way I looked at the subjects, the way I solved the problems in physics, the way I approached Calculus in mathematics and all.

The first year thus passed, with me passing in Mathematics One with the minimum marks, and above average marks in all other papers and overwhelming marks in all practical exams.

The second year started, and thats when I really came into the world of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. My mind was fully set into stators, rotors, armatures, poles, starters, slip rings, brushes and Effeciency. I dont think many of the people who studied with me will be able to remember this many names (except the ones who are still in the field). An Ex Army guy, called David Amalraj, was our lecturer in Electric Machines, and he was the guy who stuck all these things into my head. Another paper was circuit theory, which I could catch up with easily.

In the third year, we had to learn about Generation, Transmission, Switch Gear, Distribution and Utilization. These papers were handled by a cow called Hemalatha, whose father happens to be a Senior Engineer in a nearby power plant. The other papers were Microprocessor, which I hated, as I didnt like the lecturer on the paper much. She was a woman called Pathmavathi, and we used to call her PS for several reasons. She used to think that she had the prettiest pair of bums in the world, and that everyone was looking at it when she was writing in the Board.

I have never tried to make money with the knowledge that I had got from that course. Its not a hobby either. Its a fascination. I still keep starihg at substations if I get a chance to watch it from outside, and look at the systems, look at busbars, and try to work out the circuti, look at powerlines and try to estimate the sag, and look at transformers and enjoy the design.

These days, I find myself encouraging boys of the younger generation to take up EEE, so that i can get a chance to teach them what ever I have learnt, and tell them my aspects, and make sure that I bore the hell out of them

Having been in an ever changing world of computers since my EEE course was completed, where a software that I was using 5 yrs ago is completely antiquated, I am still astonished to see that the core of whatever I had learnt in EEE still remains unchanged.

So who is dying in the Deathly Hallows?

J.K.R may be the best sales(wo)man since Guy Kawasaki. Before the release of every Harry Potter book, She has managed to throw just enough tidbits to pique everybody’s attention but never enough to guess whats going to happen. I’ve been subjected to an ultra-heavy dose of Pottermania this month and am all set to lay my hands on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. But the question all HP fans want answered is: Who are the ones dying in the book ? Rowling has gone on record saying two of the main characters will be killed. I have one obvious candidate, one unexpected candidate and one insane theory about who is going to die and why ;-)

First of all two people dying means *atleast* one of them has to be from the dark side. Two people in the “Order of the Phoenix” dying and the “Death Eaters” going scott-free is an unacceptable ending. Two “Death Eaters” is too good to be true and given that the seventh book is supposed to be the darkest of them all, *atleast* one member of the Order has to die. So who is the first candidate from the dark side ?

  • Bellatrix Lestrange is a good candidate for the victim. But being a relatively unimportant character, the death of Bellatrix and an Order member in the final book will still look unconvincing.
  • Draco Malfoy is a slightly better candidate – Voldemort could kill him for failing his task. But that seems to be a very weak plot.
  • If it turns out that the enigmatic Professor Severus Snape is on the Dark Side, he is a candidate. But for what reason ?
  • Obviously the best candidate for this slot would be “You-Know-Who”. I am going to settle for the obvious and expect Lord Voldemort to meet his end in the final book.

And now for the second victim. I am expecting this to be a member of the Order. J.K.R has shown previously that she is no afraid of killing a major character – Albus Dumbledore in Book 6. Not to mention Sirius Black, Cedric Diggory, James Potter and Lily Potter previously. So which of the “major” Order members could be facing death ? Come to think of it, it should be someone very close to Harry going by the trend.

  • Ron Weasely or Hermione Granger ? Possible but sounds unlikely because the plot of Book Six has not been developed in that direction.
  • Ginny Weasely – is a slightly better candidate. But then Harry explicitly broke off with her for this reason.
  • And that leaves …. Harry Potter himself.

And I am convinced that Harry is going to die in the final book. I couldn’t get any of my friends to listen to this non-sense. So I cooked up an impossible explanation as to why Harry is going to be killed:

Of all the Horcruxes of Lord Voldemort, the final one was supposed to be made by murdering Harry. But since the plan of murdering Harry failed, and rebounds on Voldemort, One of his Death Eaters should have come up with a plan B. So one of them (hold on) comes up with the brilliant idea of putting the final Horcrux on Harry himself. Why does harry have a searing pain in his head when he touches Lord Voldemort ? And why does Voldemort face pain when he tries to kill Harry ?

Because the Scar on Harry’s forehead was the final Horcrux created by murdering his mother. So a piece of Voldemort’s soul lives inside Harry. This is why the cyclic reaction of mutual pain.

And the Death Eater who does this on behalf of the Dark Lord is none other than Severus Snape ! Snape knows where the Final Horcrux is. But Voldemort does not (Sorry. I can’t imagine a good reason). That is why everytime Harry is in danger, he comes to the rescue of Harry – He doesn’t want to save Harry. But he wants to protect Voldemort’s Horcrux.

And in the final melodramatic scene when Voldemort and Harry face-off, Harry comes to know the truth and kills Voldemort by sacrificing himself. After all, to the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure ;-)

I know, Its a wild and insane theory. But what better way to find out than read the book ? Get ready for July 21st Muggles, I am *dying* to read it !

willitblend.com

I happen to be an RSS subscriber of Kiruba.com, I read almost everything that he posts there. There i came across a youtube video that he had posted, a video in which a blender blends and iPhone. I was shocked. Why would any one want to blend an iPhone? Drop it, throw it, dip it in a bucket, throw it in a lake, but why blend it?

I got the link of the site from the vide, which is willitblend.com. Went to that site promptly to see an image of Tom, the blender holding the iPhone before he blended it on the video. Below that, there was it is mentioned that the remains of the iPhone was being offered on ebay.com. Here is the link to that item .

A $400 iPhone has already got him bids of upto $1200, and am sure this will increase. See how people are making by blending things.

These people, I guess, are making blenders, and to make it popular, they are going ahead with this sort of activities. Shoot a video, blend a pupular thing, and sell your blenders. I still dont understand why would anyone buy a blender if you show them that it would blend a phone and make it into fine black powder?

Keep the nose clean to enhance your look

Posted in General on July 7th, 2007 by Ravi

Yes, if you thought I’m talking about keeping the insides of your nose clean, well, you are quite right, you gotta do tat too. But actually I’m talking about keeping your nose blackhead free. i have a lot of people aksing me how to get rid of blackheads from your nose.

I recommend a lot of things to them like using strips, washing their face often, and stay away from dirt and dust, and always carry those wet tissues with you and clean the pores on your facial skin often.
