Ravi, Aged 26, Married, got a baby boy recently, Bachelor of Engg. in Computer Science.

My ancestors belong to Thanjavoor, and one of them moved out before the british came to India. Dont know the year, or the complete history. One of them didn’t
like Tanjore much, so he started walking towards Kerala, and landed in a place called Changanasherry, and approached the King.

Dont know what he spoke, but the king gave him a Huge Island, that lies in the middle of a river, called Mankombu. He was supposed to build a temple for Bhagavati (our Kula Dheivam currently), and be her prohit, and do farming in the surrounding land.

The tree grew, and the Island was well populated after about 10 generations by our own people. My Great Grand Father was a Pleader in Alleppy High Court in Kerala at the British times. He had 8 Kids, the last one being my Grand Father, Shri P. N. Mahadeva Iyer, or P. N. Mahadevan for search engine’s sake. Our house is called Puthiamadam, or Puthia Madom, or Pudia Madam for search engine’s sake again. There was another house, that broke off from Puthia Madam for reasons unknown.

The first Son, Anantha Ramakrishna Iyer, was practicing Law at Lahore, was a good Bhaktan of Ramana Maharishi, and having written a few Law Books himself that are being followed by courts in India even today, and helping senior authors in writing books, died at the age of 32.

Not very sure about the others. My Grand Father was the least educated among them all. Did a BA or something, while all others were into Law, or Commerce or Administration. He got a job at Trivandrum, as a Printing Supervisor at a Govt. Printing Press. He was an extremely hard worker and got promoted and had beocme the Director of Printing and Stationeries Department of the Nagaland Government, a position, if I’m right, next to the minister of the dept.

He married a girl from Kallidaikuruchi in late 1930s, and contributed to the next generation with 3 ueseless children. One fellow, my periappa (my dad’s big brother) who joined as a clark in a bank and retired as some stupid officer. The second one was a daughter, who went to the US and is now making money teaching (selling) Hinduism and Yoga ( I hate her). The third one is my Father, A know-it-all, but a wont-do-it-at-all type. He joined as an officer in a bank, got promoted as a manager very soon, n quit the job in 10 years n got into farming. Quite well off now, and a bit of a habitual drinker.

He married a girl from Mavelikara, M. S. Letha, D/o. Shri A. Sahasranaman Iyer, and brought 1 completely useless boy into this world first and another partially useless boy after 5 yrs. His wife died in about 2 days to 16 years from the date of his wedding and he remarried after 2 years, n thankfully didn’t make anymore contributions to the population thru his new association.

The First boy’s name is Ravi, which is Me, and I call the 2nd boy is Papu. Officially he is Sahasranaman named after his Maternal Grandfather.

My life started in Calcutta where i spent a few years as a baby boy, then moved on to Trivandrum, where I when thru my kindegarden, then came to Ambur, a cookgramam near Ambasamudram. ( A village far down south in India for those of you who dont know). Living in a beautiful Farm House, got the blessing to study at Vikaasa, a fairly decent school.

After education, I have settled down at Pondicherry in 2004, started a web designing company first, moved on to web hosting in 2006, got married in 2005 n got a kid in 2007.

In 2008 I quit Web Designing and Web hosting and have got into serious blogging and right now I make a living by monetizing the Internet. I no longer work for or with anyone.

And here I stand, excited about my new own blog, n thinking constantly how to make it interesting(so that i can drive some traffic to this).
