A virtual private server is a miniature server that would have dedicated resources such as hard disk space and memory, which will remain solely dedicated to the user of the vps and will ntobe touched by other users. These resources are usually shared from a huge server. It is just like shared hosting, but the only thing is that you get dedicated resources, a dedicated file system and root access to that dedicated system. It would be configured as a web server with the help of server virtualization software such as openvz, xen or virtuozzo.
You cannot start selling vps with just any server and a few vps licneses. The virtualization software consumes a good amount of resources of its own. So you will need a real monster server with about 8 to 16 cores of processors and 16 to 32 gb of ram and a huge array of hard drives. At that scale, you can set up upto 300 vps on the server without much problems offering a 256 MB dedicated ram to each user and a 10 gb space. Hardware is an important factor to be considered in servers. It is not as easy as selecting your door hardware. A programmer at my office, a newbie ofcourse, said that he prefers to write sql codes and design databases as complicated as possible as he wants the servers to work in full load. The vps clients are apparently novices otherwise they would go for servers, and the ideas of most of the novices are just like this. They will bring maximum load to the server, and though the RAM resources are limited, process loads can cause trouble to the server if it doesn’t have enough resources itself.

It is not an easy job migrating server. Particularly if you host your sites with someone who don’t offer ssh access. If all that you have got is ftp access, not to worry, just make sure that your new provider offers ssh. Indyahozting doesnt offer ssh, and not many hosting providers do. They are all worried about hacking. But it is safe as long as you firewall everyhting and make sure that your root access is absolutely safe.
Get a VPS and get into the shell and cd to the folder of the website that you have created on the new server which you want to copy from the old server
ftp hostname port is the format. So if your server is with indyahozting just type ftp indyahozting.com 21. The port 21 is default with all providers, as without ftp there is no hosting company.
It will ask you for the username and password and once you enter that, it will say that the connectin is ok.
You might want to cd into the directory from which you need to get all your files.
There use mget -r *
This ftp command will get all the files recursively from sub directories and store it to the local folder from which you typed ftp. This way the files can be transfered automatically.
The only problem is that you have to say yes when it prompts and asks if you want to move the particular file. I have not found a way to byepass that yet. Well, you could be reading diet pill reviews while you press y and enter in a rhythm and the trnasfer should be done soon as you finish reading it.

Google sometimes is boring. It always returns the same results over and over again for different combinations of the search terms. I wanted to find out if there are any new websites that are showing up in the blog sphere that would pay you to blog. An idea struck me last night and I thought I would go ahead and look for other search engines that are there in the world. Surely they will not be using the algorithm of Google, so the way they display the results would be greater, and you can find what you are looking for with a bit of ease. Or atleast you could hope for it. So when I set foot to start looking for a new search engine which would give me better, or atleast different results for blog pay I landed upon RankNoodle.com. It is a search engine that would not only give you the search results like google does, but also gives you an article on what you are looking for. So for example lets say you are searching for the term search engine for beginners you get a simple article on what is meant by search engine and why it exists and why people cant do without a search engine.
I have a feeling that this site will redefine the concept of search engines. This even acts like a miniature wikipedia as it gives a small synopsys of what you are searching for. there has already been a debate that wikipedia might in the near future overtake google in the search for information as wikipedia has got almost everything now, and it comes without ads and it doesnt use any stupid algorithms. Lets say you are searching fro a good hosting company. When you search google it will just give you a list of sites in the order in which the sites are optimized. But if the company is good at optimization of websites for the search engines and are not really keen on hosting, then the site might be on the top but the service might be poor, while the people who provide good services might be bottom just because they have not optimized their websites or they have not put up any sponsored advertisments on google’s search page.
A search with an article is at its starting stage, and once developed, people will only go for that. When you search for hosting companies on a search engine like ranknoodle.com, you will possibly get a user edited or a user reviewed list of sites rather than a list that is ordered bust by a company’s stupid algorithm. This technology is going to rule the internet in the very near future.
