Life without SEO Tools

My blog is a big bag of bullshit. And I don’t promote it much. People who read my blog often know that very well. I write complete bullshit. Nobody cares. I know that. But my blog does manage to get visitors once in a while because of the few tech stuff that I have in here. Linux buffs like my blog. Select posts if not the whole blog.

Well, Im not the worst. I do know a lot of people who write more bullshit that I do, and keep their blog on the top of the searches. How is that done? SEO. Search Engine Optimization.

Doing it manually is a tough job. It would take a lifetime to optimize one blog manually. And I have 27 blogs, and only 1 life. How do I still stay in business? I have a huge array of seo tools installed in my computer and servers, without which I would have been just another stupid software engineer working at some stupid company making a few hundred thousand rupees a year.

Linux is straightforward.

I have switched to gOS from Ubuntu about a month ago, and I am extremely happy with the eye candy. It looks just like mac, and the color schemes are all so good, that I do not thing think that I would ever get back to ubuntu again. Well, gOS is based on ubuntu. I am still using the soul of Ubuntu, suing the same repositories and i9nstalling the same debian packages made for ubuntu. Only the eye candy is different to throw some maxim lighting over it. Well, I have been having one big problem. I am unable to get into the user management area of ubuntu. Unable to unlock it with the sudo password or the userpassword.

I need to add the vboxuser to my group if I want to run virutal box. For those of you who dont know virtual box is my favorite virtualization tool that I use to run Windows inside Linux. 80% of the desktops are unfortunately dependent on windows, and certain software makes me dependent on windows too.

Though I have found that I have never needed windows to do anything straightforward. I downloaded a bulk mailer recently to send regular mails to my clients as I find using thunderbird a bit difficult though it has got bcc and stuff, a software called sendblaster, which is more often used for spamming. Wine, the windows emulator for linux isnt supporting this well, and I really need a virtual windows environment on my PC to run this software. I find that I also need windows when I need to run my seo tools for my blogs and to do hacking stuff such as tracking an ip and stuff. All these tools only come for windows and are not available for Linux, and wine doesnt support it well.

I guess this will tell you how straightforward Linux is.
